The week started with Remembrance Day: the 11th day of the 11th month. The children learnt why we commemorate Remembrance Day. The children respectfully joined in with a minute's silence and made poppies together.

In Drawing Club this week, we have been reading the beautifully illustrated 'Leaf Man' by Lois Ehlert. The children created their own characters made from leaves and created adventures for their leaf characters to go on.

In phonics, we have been learning the phonemes v, w, x and y as well as to read the tricky words has, her, his and and.

In maths, we have been looking at the composition of numbers 1,2 and 3. 

In PE, the children have been developing their balancing skills using their arms to help and their tummy muscles to keep themselves still and poised!

The children also enjoyed decorating the divas that they made last week: they all look absolutely spectacular! They are rightfully very proud of their creations.
